Compassionate Nutrition Therapy
Our sessions together take place in a safe environment facilitated by a Health at Every Size (HAES), nonjudgmental, supportive, client-centered and empathetic approach.
My non-diet, body-guided nutrition philosophy uses intuitive and mindful eating principles to rebuild trust between one’s mind and body. I embraced Intuitive Eating in my own life and experienced great freedom. Through our work together, I hope to empower others to experience freedom and peace with food and from self-deprivation.
My Story
Food and eating brought me joy from a young age- surrounded by family, friends, tastes, and flavors that were not only fun and intriguing, but also provided a sense of connection to others. I saw food and nutrition as nourishment for the body and a stepping stone to quality of life.
I became a Registered Dietitian to help others rebuild their relationship with food and movement, recover from an eating disorder, and nourish themselves to thrive.
I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and have treated eating disorders for over 15 years. My experience working in eating disorder treatment spans from residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care, providing a thorough understanding of the treatment process.
My areas of expertise span across the eating disorder and disordered eating spectrum, including: experiences that span across the restrictive, reactive and binge eating and/or purging spectrum of behaviors; selective/picky eating, challenges with feeding appropriately, and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
